The first step of your journey to pregnancy is to obtain a referral from your GP or other specialist.

GP referrals are valid for 12 months and specialist referrals are valid for 3 months. You’ll need a current referral to obtain Medicare rebates.

At your first consultation, Dr Marcin will organise any special tests you might need and give you advice about the choices available and most suitable for your treatment. If you have test results or reports from previous treatment you have received, it would be helpful to take those with you for your first visit.

If you have a spouse or partner, we’d certainly encourage you to bring them along too. We’ll ask you to arrive early for your first appointment so you can fill out some of the necessary paperwork.

At that initial consultation you’ll have the opportunity to ask those burning questions you’ve possibly been waiting to ask. We’ll also offer details of the likely costs involved, including particulars about Medicare, rebates and out-of-pocket expenses.

Our preference is to help you conceive naturally, so Dr Marcin will help you understand all the relevant health issues before working with you to help you decide on the best course of action.
